Raleigh Family Reunion

Andrea, Bo and I traveled east to Raleigh, NC for a family get together. Steph shut down her floral business, but converted her cooler into the greatest refrigerator I've ever been in.

Meka, Teagan, and Bo got along really well...when they were all playing Nintendo DS.

Kindergarten Graduation!

Bo approached Kindergarten like he does every thing else in his life: Nothing but a good time!
He made many friends during his first year of school including on and off girlfriend, Malia, Donovan, Dylan, Dylan #2, Jenna, Nathan, Evan, Owen, and Micah.
At the graduation ceremony, Bo also got some of the hosting duties welcoming the parents to the graduation ceremony. Mommie and Pap Tony attended.

Flag Football Season Ends

The season came to an end in dramatic fashion. Mack and Zeke played in the Super Bowl, and despite the fact that they accounted for all of their teams points, they lost 12-19. Mack started off the scoring with a sweet, leaping pick, and weaved his way into the end zone. Zeke's interception was beautiful. He shadowed his guy perfectly and lured the QB to throw to his guy. Zeke picked it in stride and went in for six.

Bo's team was in a rebuilding year. Bo played hard(see 2nd picture) and had a bunch of fun.

Rafting the Kings River - Kings River Expeditions

Mack, Zeke and I headed north to Kings Canyon NP for some white water rafting and some male-bonding(we ate several packs of beef jerky on the way which led to a fairly impressive farting contest in the car). The Kings River was our dragon and we were going to slay it and it's Class III rapids.

In the absence of video games, Mack and Zeke discovered horseshoes. Mack wants to build a pit in the back yard now.

The river was angry, but we tamed it. Zeke was a little nervous, but over came his fear, and had a blast. Mack seemed like he was in heaven the whole time.

Kings River Expeditions April 2010

Flag Football - Spring Season

Flag football season is underway and Mack and Zeke are on the same team for the first time. Mack is shining on both sides of the football, and Zeke is playing some stout defense as free safety.

Mack scored five touchdowns in their first game including 2 interception returns for scores. Zeke had a sweet pick-six too, returning it down the sideline with fabulous hair. Z and Mack accounted for 6 of their team's 8 touchdowns.

Their second game was a defensive battle. Mack caught a long touchdown late in the second half for his team's only score. Zeke knocked down a final Hail-Mary thrown up by the other team to seal the game, 6-0.

Zeke usually just looks relieved that it's over.

Bo is also playing this year, but after last year's touchdown fest, they moved him up to the 7-9 year old team even though he's a few months away.

So far this season, he seems more interested in signaling people and waving "hi" to us than football. Well, it seems like he is having fun.
