"Some Like it Hot" - Adventures in Palm Springs

Headed to the Low Desert area of Palm Springs for a short vacation with the kids. Temps hovered in the 105-110 range for three days, so we spent a most of our time in the water. Pool complex was very cool for the kids(and me): nothing too deep, plenty of shade, a waterfall, a bar with cold beverages in the middle, and plenty of bikinis(for Mack).

Mack earned a new nickname on this trip. He perfected a move of sneakily swimming up behind the girls in the pool, goggles on for a better underwater view of their butts...especially when they were walking up the stairs. He is now known as Mack "Perv"acialle. Quite impressively, he never got caught. However, I did catch him on our balcony utilizing the zoom function on his camera to take pictures of the bikinis below. Hormones are full steam ahead there.

Daddy attacked by two sharks in goggles.

Bond...James Bond.

Boys will be boys.

Z-man bravely running the waterfall. Quite cold actually.

Water slides!
We hit Soak City USA for some water slide action on day two, but we were having so much fun that we forgot to take pictures. Highlights: (1)Mack and I rode a water slide that was 7000' feet high...I can only describe it as 2 seconds of free fall followed by a high velocity enema. (2) Bodie took his water slides very seriously. After riding the same one 15 times, I tried to stop him as he sprinted by, but he employed a very effective stiff arm, juked left, and continued up for ride number 16. Fun was had by all.

Children's Discovery Museum
On day three we opted for an educational side trip to the Discovery Museum. In this picture, Bo and Zeke are playing Tic-Tac-Toe in the middle of the Braille exhibit.

Bodie got to paint a VW and a ram.

The rope-maze was no match for Zeke's ingenuity(he figured out that he could un-clip and clip back on once he was on the other side of an obstacle). Very clever.

CHiPs!

Dress up time! "Some Like It Hot!" Yes, that is Mack in a dress.

Butch Cassidy and the Confused Mexican Tourist.

The boys declared it, "The Best Vacation Ever."
