Mack: Riding the Big Bike(Andrea's)

Mack is just a few inches shy of passing up his Mom in height. We pulled her bike out yesterday, lowered and moved up the seat, loosened the SPD pedals a little, and took a spin up in the hills behind the house.

Mack riding down the bumpy rock we call "Little Moab."

Cruising past.

and up the hill...

The Santa Anas were blowing pretty hard on the top of the hills, so we cut the ride a little short, and headed down the singletrack towards home.

Paramount Ranch - Life in an Old West Town(Movie Set)

Took the boys to Paramount Ranch park in the Santa Monica Mountains. Most recently, they shot Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman there. Never saw the show, but the Old West town was pretty cool. You could just imagine riding your horse into town, and hitting the saloon.

My job is strongly rooted in fashion apparel. I bet you wouldn't guess that based on how my kids dress.

Zeke and Mommy on another Troll Bridge. Most bridges serve as cover for trolls...according to Bo.

There's the happy little Bodie Bear.
What a smile...he is a charmer.

Mike and Tony, if you look real close, one of her eyes is closed behind those glasses.

After exploring the town, we took a short hike up and around in the hills behind.

Fall Hikes #2: Wildwood Park

Indian Caves, waterfalls, and beautiful bluffs and kids. These are the bluffs from the movie, "Wuthering Heights," and some westerns also. I might have made that up.

Bodie is explaining to Mommy the benefits of moving investments into foreign currencies, while Mack and Zeke are looking at a big rock.

Zeke's motto: Look cool and carry a big stick. Seriously, he's shoulder high on Andrea....

Big, bigger, biggest: with a tee-pee in the background.
Version #2. With Fall foliage.

Mack in the mouth of the Indian Cave. Pretty cool look into life in the Old West.

Deep, down in the valley, we found Paradise Falls...

Good luck and good night...

Fall Hikes Part 1: Sage Ranch

Dragged the kids on a local hike, Sage Ranch, at the east end of Simi Valley.

Andrea, Zeke, and Bo are auditioning for the new Charlie's Angels movie: (Insert your title here, my thought was Revenge of the Dorks ).

That's Turtle Rock behind them, the ever watchful guardian of Sage Ranch.

Same spot, but Zeke is putting a headlock on Bo while Mack is throwing up the always-clever "Bunny Ears" behind an unsuspecting Z-man.

Puffy, red cheeks signal that this needs to be over.

Future Tennis Star?

The Z-man has been rocking the tennis courts lately. He is developing an accurate back-hand and a deadly fore-hand. I had a chance to watch his practice last Thursday, and witnessed Zeke hitting 15 straight fore-hands over the net and in play. He won the two round contest by hitting 22 forehands in play in two tries.
Here is Zeke McEnroe politely disagreeing with the Line Judge.

Bodie and the Short Bus

Looking through some pictures from Hilton Head last year, I came upon this photo progression(regression?).

First photo: Teagan full of grace.
Second Photo: Teagan joined by her cousin, Meka.

Final Photo: Teagan and Meka joined by their cousin, Bo-tardo.
