Carnival of Sin - As seen through the eyes of a 7 year old

Bo and I were playing Angry Birds on the Ipad a few nights ago. After several rounds, he asked if we could "watch" some music, so I logged onto Netflix, and started to search the concert movies they listed. Nothing too compelling, so we settled on Motley Crue's Carnival of Sin, and hit the stream button. After a short "clay-mation" clip, the concert started.
A midget in a scary clown mask was dancing around the stage doing his best to pump the crowd up...we were hooked. Then a box appeared on stage, and the lid lifted up. A girl in a string bikini crawled out of the box, and started to seduce the audience...much  like stripper would. I was a little worried at that point. Then, a second girl in a string bikini crawled out of the box, and the two of them began seducing each other...we were hooked again. After some sexual back and forth, the two girls bent over the box from either side and began french kissing each other.
I was brought back to reality by Bo saying, "Daddy."
"Yes, Bo," I replied.
Without pulling his eyes from the Ipad screen, he said, "They're sisters, right?"
"We can only hope," I responded.

The Secret Trail of Doom

Bo, his best bud, Ashton, and I knocked out a monster hike today called the Secret Trail of Doom. We climbed from Corriganville Park to the top of Rocky Peak(900 feet elevation gain), in a few short miles, then back down. The tunnel seen in a few of the pictures is a wildlife corridor and goes under the 118 freeway. Great day.

Zeke Hoopin!

Zeke scored the first points for his team this morning, but unfortunately, they lost another one. Zeke "packed" three shots and played solid on the boards.

More Maui

For dinner one night, we found an open air bar near Kihei, called Lulu's. Decor was interesting(see Giant Elvis Tiki below), and they had good burgers, beer and pool. Bonus: live music by a guy doing Jimmy Buffett covers. I love it when a plan comes together.

Zeke posing on the lawn.

On the last day, it rained a little, so we took the opportunity to visit the Maui Ocean Center. Cool little aquarium.

Beautiful sunset caught in silhouette.

Zeke and Bo wanted to get a shot with our local newspaper, The Acorn. Then more beach time.

Maui Snorkeling!

We didn't get too many underwater shots, but the snorkeling was outstanding. We saw turtles, eels, and a variety of fish including humuhumunukunukuapua'a, the unofficial State Fish of Hawaii, and our kids favorite word for the week.

But the Honu, or turtles, were our favorites companions.

This is Bo swimming with a turtle in about 30' of water.
